Sidewalks & Walkways

Every path, straight and true.

Walkways are the part of your property guests use first and you use every day. We build them flat, safe and sloped to drain — and we replace the trip hazards that heaved years ago.

Every spec in writing — before we break ground.

Why it matters

A walkway is small, but it's where homeowners notice sloppy work first: the panel that rocks underfoot, the edge that's lifted by a tree root, the low spot that turns into an ice rink every January.

We treat a walkway with the same care as a driveway. Proper base, consistent slope, clean edges and joints spaced so the panels stay flat and in line.

What we build

Sidewalks & Walkways, start to finish.

01

Front walks

The path from the driveway or street to your front door — the first impression of your home.

02

Side-yard & garden paths

Practical routes to the backyard, gates, sheds and gardens.

03

Utility pads

Pads for trash cans, AC units, generators and storage sheds.

04

Sidewalk replacement

Remove heaved or broken panels and replace them flush and level.

05

Park strips & public sidewalk

Work in the right-of-way, coordinated with your city's requirements.

Built right

The details that decide how long it lasts.

These are the things most homeowners never see — and the first places a cheap job cuts corners. They're all spelled out in your Polaris quote.

01

Even, safe surface

Flush transitions and level panels, so nothing catches a toe or a stroller wheel.

02

Cross-slope to drain

A slight cross-slope moves water off the walk so it doesn't pond and freeze.

03

Joint spacing

Joints spaced to the walk's width keep panels from cracking randomly.

04

Compacted base

Narrow walks are easy to under-build. Ours get the same base prep as everything else.

05

Root & grade awareness

We look at nearby trees and grade so the walk isn't set up to heave again.

06

Clean tie-ins

Where the walk meets steps, a porch or the driveway, transitions are planned and doweled where needed.

Finishes

Choose the look. We'll handle the rest.

Broom finish

Slip-resistant, clean and classic.

Tooled borders

A smooth troweled edge framing a broom field for a crisp, finished look.

Stamped or colored

Match a stamped patio or add color to tie the walk into your landscape.

Exposed aggregate

Textured and grippy, with great traction in wet weather.

Local knowledge

Ice is the real hazard

In a Utah winter, the walkway to your front door is the most dangerous surface you own. Low spots hold meltwater that refreezes overnight. A consistent slope and a good broom texture are the difference between a walk you can shovel and one you have to salt constantly.

Public sidewalks and park strips are typically the homeowner's responsibility to maintain but fall under city rules for repair. We'll check what your city requires before we touch anything in the right-of-way.

FAQ

Sidewalks & Walkways questions, answered.

Serving Orem, Lindon, Provo, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi and more.

  • Yes. We remove the heaved panel, deal with the root issue as far as is safe for the tree, correct the base and pour a new panel flush with its neighbors. If the tree is protected or in the park strip, we'll confirm any city requirements first.

  • Wide enough for two people to walk side by side comfortably is a good rule for a front entry, while side-yard paths can be narrower. We'll recommend a width that fits your entry and your landscape during the site visit.

  • We do, and they pair well with a larger project. If you're already having a walkway or patio poured, adding a small pad costs far less than doing it separately later.
