Polaris crew troweling a fresh concrete slab at sunset

Concrete Contractor · Utah County · Heber · Salt Lake

Concrete you can count on.

Driveways, patios, walkways and steps — built on a properly prepared base by a crew that came up in excavation, with written quotes, real start dates and updates you don't have to chase.

Why Polaris

The craftsmanship you expect. The reliability you've been missing.

We've spent our careers in excavation and site development, held to the standards Utah's biggest developers demand. Polaris brings that same standard to your driveway, patio or front steps: a clear scope, a real schedule and someone who actually answers.

What we build

Concrete for the places you live every day.

Homeowner flatwork is our focus — the driveway you park on, the patio you gather on, the walk your guests take to the door.

01 — Driveways

Concrete Driveways

A driveway takes more abuse than anything else on your property — vehicle weight, plows, deicer and freeze-thaw swings all winter long. We build them to take it, starting with what's underneath.

  • New driveways
  • Tear-out & replacement
  • Extensions & widening
  • RV & trailer pads

02 — Patios

Concrete Patios

A patio is the foundation of everything you want out back — the table, the grill, the fire pit, the hot tub. We design it around how you'll use the space, then build it to stay flat and drain right for decades.

  • New patios
  • Patio extensions
  • Fire-pit & seating areas
  • Hot-tub pads

03 — Sidewalks & Walkways

Sidewalks & Walkways

Walkways are the part of your property guests use first and you use every day. We build them flat, safe and sloped to drain — and we replace the trip hazards that heaved years ago.

  • Front walks
  • Side-yard & garden paths
  • Utility pads
  • Sidewalk replacement

04 — Steps & Porches

Concrete Steps & Porches

Steps are the most precise piece of flatwork there is. Every riser the same height, every tread the same depth, every edge crisp — because your feet notice even when your eyes don't.

  • Front steps
  • Porches & stoops
  • Back-door & garage steps
  • Step replacement

Also on the list

Builders, shops & commercial work, too.

  • Garage & shop slabs

Interior slabs for garages, shops and outbuildings.

  • Retaining & landscape walls

Cast-in-place concrete walls for grade changes.

  • Footings & foundations

For additions, garages and structures — and builders who need a reliable sub.

  • Builder & commercial flatwork

Driveways, walks and slabs for builders, developers and commercial properties.

It starts in the dirt

Most concrete fails from the ground up.

Sinking slabs, heaved edges, cracks straight across the middle — they usually trace back to what's underneath. We came up in excavation and site work, so that's where every Polaris job starts.

Wood forms and rebar set over a compacted gravel base, ready for a concrete pour

The part nobody sees: base, forms and steel, before a single yard of concrete arrives.

Air-entrained concrete

Microscopic air pockets give freezing water room to expand.

Steel reinforcement

Rebar or fiber, specified in your quote — never assumed.

Compacted gravel base

Uniform support, and a path for water to drain away.

Prepared, compacted subgrade

Soft soil and organics out. Graded, compacted, proof-checked.

Specced in writing

Base, thickness and reinforcement are listed in every quote.

Built for freeze-thaw

Air-entrained mixes for every exterior pour.

Jointed on purpose

Control joints placed so cracks land where we want them.

Who you're dealing with

A new company. Not new people.

Polaris Outdoor is owned and run by its two founders. When you reach out, you're talking to the people who will be on your job — not a call center, and not a salesperson who disappears after the deposit.

Questions

Straight answers.

  • The fastest way is our Quick Quote: a short online form where you choose your project, give a rough size, pick finish ideas and add a few photos from your phone. We review it, follow up to schedule a site visit, and then send a written, itemized quote.

  • We started in excavation and site development, so we treat the ground under your slab as seriously as the slab itself. Most concrete problems — sinking, heaving, cracking across the middle — trace back to poor base prep. We spec it, build it and put it in writing.

  • Because honest concrete pricing depends on things a website can't see: tear-out, access, grade, base conditions, thickness and finish. Any per-square-foot number without those is a guess. Our written quote spells out every line so you can compare it fairly.

  • We're based in Orem and work across Utah County (Orem, Lindon, Provo, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi), the Wasatch Back (Heber City, Midway, Park City) and the Salt Lake Valley. If you're nearby but not listed, ask anyway.

  • Yes. Homeowners are our focus, but we also take on builder flatwork, footings, garage and shop slabs, and commercial concrete. Use the Quick Quote or email us with your plans.
