Concrete Steps & Porches
First impressions, cast in place.
Steps are the most precise piece of flatwork there is. Every riser the same height, every tread the same depth, every edge crisp — because your feet notice even when your eyes don't.

Every spec in writing — before we break ground.
Why it matters
Concrete steps are formed, not just poured. The forms decide everything: rise, run, nosing, the landing at the door. Get them slightly wrong and you get the step everyone trips on.
We build steps and porches with consistent dimensions, proper reinforcement and a solid connection to the ground — so they don't settle away from your house or crack at the corners after a few winters.
What we build
Concrete Steps & Porches, start to finish.
Front steps
New or replacement entry steps, formed to fit your doorway and grade.
Porches & stoops
Landings and front porches sized for a comfortable, welcoming entry.
Back-door & garage steps
Practical steps for the everyday entries that see the most traffic.
Step replacement
Demolition of cracked or settled steps and a properly founded replacement.
Built right
The details that decide how long it lasts.
These are the things most homeowners never see — and the first places a cheap job cuts corners. They're all spelled out in your Polaris quote.
Consistent rise & run
Uniform riser heights and tread depths, laid out to meet residential code at your entry.
Solid footing
Steps need proper support so they don't settle and pull away from the house.
Reinforced corners
Steel where steps are most likely to crack — corners, edges and landings.
Drainage at the door
Landings are pitched slightly so water moves away from your threshold.
Freeze-thaw mix
Air-entrained concrete and a proper cure for surfaces that see snow, shovels and ice melt.
Clean tie-ins
Steps transition cleanly to your walkway, porch or driveway — no awkward ledges.
Finishes
Choose the look. We'll handle the rest.
Broom treads
Traction on every tread, especially important in winter.
Smooth-trowel risers
Clean, crisp vertical faces for a finished look.
Stamped or colored
Match a stamped walkway or patio for a cohesive entry.
Railing-ready
Planned for railings so posts can be set cleanly after the pour.
Local knowledge
Steps take the worst of winter
Entry steps get shoveled, scraped and salted more than any other concrete you own. That's why the mix, finish and cure matter so much here — and why we'll recommend deicers that won't eat the surface.
Steps that have settled or pulled away from the foundation usually point to a support problem underneath. Replacing them without fixing that just restarts the clock, so we look at why the old ones failed before we form the new ones.
FAQ
Steps & Porches questions, answered.
Serving Orem, Lindon, Provo, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi and more.
Yes. We'll demolish and haul away the old steps, look at why they failed, prepare a proper base and form new steps to consistent dimensions. Existing railings can often be reset into the new steps.
Residential code generally requires a handrail once a stairway reaches a certain number of risers, and guards where a landing is high enough off the ground. Requirements can vary locally, so we'll tell you what applies to your entry.
We can match finish and texture closely. Exact color matching to weathered concrete is never perfect, so if a seamless look matters, replacing the walkway and steps together is worth considering.
