Polaris Outdoor was started by two people who've spent their careers in excavation and site development — and who think hiring a concrete contractor should feel a lot more professional than it usually does.
Our story
Our backgrounds are in excavation and land development — the heavy, unglamorous work that happens before anything gets built. We've run equipment, managed crews, bid jobs and kept projects on schedule for some of the biggest builders and developers in the state.
Along the way, we noticed something. Big developers get professional treatment: written scopes, schedules, updates, accountability. Homeowners hiring a concrete contractor usually get a phone number, a rough number and a lot of waiting.
The trade is full of skilled, hard-working people. What homeowners are usually missing is reliability.
That's what Polaris is built on. We bring the operational discipline of large-scale site work — and modern tools that make the process easier — to the driveways, patios, walkways and steps homeowners use every day. Same craftsmanship you'd expect. A much better experience getting there.
The founders

Co-founder
Tanner has spent his whole career in construction — first in the field on large-scale site development, then running the business side of an excavation company as its general manager. He knows what a well-run job looks like from both the cab and the office.

Justin brings years of hands-on construction and excavation experience — the kind that teaches you exactly what's going on under a slab before the first yard of concrete shows up.
The name
Polaris is the North Star — the one fixed point in the sky that people have navigated by for thousands of years. It's the standard we hold ourselves to: dependable, consistent, easy to find.
Polaris is the star that doesn't move — the one you steer by. That's the job: a fixed reference point from first call to final pour. We came up through excavation and heavy civil work, so the ground under the concrete gets the same attention as the finish on top.
